My Interior Paint Colors

This is long overdue and one question that I get asked time and time again. I am happy to share a complete list of the paint colors used in my home. I am going to go through each room and share what colors I used and a bit of information about each one.

EXTERIOR

I knew two things when it came to choosing the paint for the exterior of my home. I wanted a neutral color and I wanted to paint it all out, which means everything would be painted the same color just in different paint finishes. I had used Pale Oak by Benjamin Moore on other projects and knew the color was in the right family but wasn’t quite right. That is when I asked for Pale Oak in Double Strength and we had a winner.

Paint Finishes: Exterior Body is Satin // Shutters and Trim are Semi-gloss

TIP: When you use a higher finish, your paint can give off the illusion that it is a shade darker. In this case, that is what I did with my shutters and trim using a semi-gloss finish.

FOYER

The walls in my foyer are a nickel gap shiplap, so I knew I wanted to use a dark color that changed with the light variation throughout the day. After numerous paint samples painted on the wall, Witching Hour by Benjamin Moore won out!

Paint Finish: Semi-gloss

TIP: Always put up paint samples on your walls. The lighting in your home can completely change your mind about a color.

DINING ROOM

When it came to my dining room, I wanted a color that resembled limestone. And that was Off White by Farrow & Ball. I painted the entire room, including the ceiling, in Off White with a high gloss finish.

KITCHEN

Like my kitchen, most of my house is painted Greek Villa by Sherwin Williams. It has always been my go-to, allowing the art and furniture to speak for themselves rather than compete.

Paint Finish: Ceiling/Walls are Satin // Trim is Semigloss

TIP: When it comes to anything that gets a lot of wear and tear like your baseboards, cabinetry, and doors, you want to use a higher finish because it is more durable.

KITCHEN WINDOWS

When it came to the windows in my kitchen, I wanted a color that contrasted with my black and white marble countertops and that is exactly what Urbane Bronze by Sherwin Williams did! I, also, love that it resembles a true bronze color.

Please let me know if you have any paint related questions in the comments below.
